Semaglutide is a prescription injectable that is used in conjunction with a lower-calorie diet and more exercise in adults with documented heart disease who are either obese or overweight to lower their risk of significant cardiovascular events such as mortality, heart attack, or stroke that could assist adults who are obese, as well as those adults who are overweight and have health issues related to their weight, in losing extra weight and keeping it off.
Semaglutide should not be taken in conjunction with other GLP-1 receptor-agonist medications or other products that also include semaglutide. It is not known if semaglutide is safe and effective for use in children under 12 years of age.
Before using semaglutide, disclose to your healthcare provider any additional medical conditions, such as kidney or pancreas problems, type 2 diabetes with a history of diabetic retinopathy, depression, suicidal thoughts, mental health issues, pregnancy, or intending to become pregnant. Semaglutide may cause harm to the fetus. Two months before you intend to get pregnant, breastfeed, or stop nursing, you should cease using semaglutide. If semaglutide enters your breast milk, that fact is unknown.
Inform your doctor about all of the medications you take, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Some medications may impact semaglutides ability to function, and semaglutide may impact some medications ability to function.
Inform your physician about any additional medications you use for diabetes, such as insulin or sulfonylures. Semaglutide slows down the emptying of the stomach and may interfere with medications that must move through the stomach rapidly.
If blood testing is required, we can assist in setting up a time for you to visit your local LabCorp or Quest Diagnostic laboratory for blood tests.
The packaging used for the shipment of your order has been validated to maintain safe temperatures for the product throughout transit, including shipments to extreme climates, per stability testing performed by the product manufacturer. Ice packs will melt in shipping as they work to maintain safe temperatures for the product during shipping, but receiving ice packs that are fully melted upon receipt is not a cause for concern. Please remember to store your medication in the refrigerator once you receive it, if indicated on the shipment.
